I love Phish! I tried to get tickets for this summer using the lottery, no luck. And tickets for my local show sold out in less than a minute so no luck there either

I feel like I SHOULD like them with my wild and free ways, and I even tried to like them in my late teens/early 20s, but I just DO NOT. I hate that all of their songs sound similar and go on forever. Bleh. Not my cup o' tea.
I feel the same way about Panic and a lot of Dead stuff.
DH loves them and used to follow the group. He's mentioned a few times that he'd like to take DS touring this summer. Ummm, no. I'm not down with that. I've been to a few concerts with him, and that was a lot of fun! But it was fun because of the whole experience, not because I love the music.

Buster, Are you crash? My hate for phish was tame until I married my phish obsessed husband, him and his friends are onsessed. Now he is trying to turn my daughter on to it and he won't quit talking shit about Mumford and Dave. I hate phish and their stupid carnival music, hate hate hate.
I have a soft spot for Phish because my older brother was obsessed with them in high school and college, I'm talking driving cross-country to see them and camping out and selling burritos in the parking lot and trading live recordings on tape in whatever way it was done before the internet. I've never listened to them on my own, but every so often I'll hear a song, or think of one (like "Lengthwise" when H is OOT, lol), and get nostalgic for the days of driving to school with my brother and listening to one of those many tapes. So maybe there's something to HRH Queen Dick I's theory. lol.
