There was a monkey at my vet this morning. PIP

Someone abandoned this little guy, because they didn't know how to take care of him and he was self-mutilating his tail.  So my vet took him in, amputated his tail and is working on getting him to eat and gain weight.  How sad is that?


I guess there is big money for getting baby monkeys from the jungle (although very illegal).  They kill the mom to take the baby.

He was eating a banana when I got to see him. And underneath that blanket is a hot water bottle so he feels comfortable. He made this high pitch noise, I cannot even describe it.

And update after picking up the pups: The monkey is making a great and very speedy recovery. He even ate some mango. The vet says she is thinking of keeping him permanently.

My Great Aunt's husband had a monkey (before I was born). Apparently it hated her. He used to dive bomb her in doorways.
