Ok, maybe not. Is that joke sacrilegious anyway, since I just realized it's from Jerry Maguire and referring to two people who then make out in front of a room full of people.

I love that he's doing things on his own terms. He's bringing so much attention to the poor and forgotten, if he can only move one person to do more for others, I think he would be happy.
I love that even my extremely conservative Catholic relatives like him. You can't really diss a guy this humble and as a super conservative Catholic, you probably wouldn't be dissing the pope anyway.
I hate to feel this way but I'm unfortunately suspicious of this whole thing. Almost like it was a way for the Catholic Church to get rid of a pope that was horrible on PR and had a bad rep for one that is wining the church back.
I think it's calculated to a degree, by the church, but not by the pope. He lived in poverty as a bishop and a cardinal, he couldn't have orchestrated that for PR.
