I fucking hate late dinner guests

How late are they? I always wonder this in the late posts when people are all "omg you can never be late to someone's house for dinner". I never plan dinner for less than an hour or an hour and half after I tell people to be there. Am I a freak or do my friends and family like apps and wine more than most?

I think though if dinner is ready fuck them and eat before it is cold or overcooked. No matter how late they are they are wrong.

We're not big aps & wine people. I usually plan for us to eat about 1/2 hour after the time I tell people to arrive. If we're going to eat at some other time then I let every one know. But when I invite people, usually family, I tell them "We're eating at this time, be here before the time we're going to eat."

That sucks. If they are too late, I would start chowing down without them.

If we invite people over to eat, we usually serve apps and drinks first, and serve dinner about an hour after we tell them to arrive.

My ILs were three hours late one Christmas our meal was so awful once they finally showed up- a little cold, a little soggy and a little full of bitterness.
