Just go. Keep the new job under wraps until you are comfortable with sharing. The conference may benefit you in the future as far as learning about your trade.
If you tell them now you run the risk of them replacing you now and having no income until June. I would continue working as normal (which would include going to the conference) until you are ready to give your two week notice.
Go. I made the (kind of) mistake of refusing training because I was planning for a new position (and explaining why) and my boss let me go way before I was "ready". It worked out well for me in the end, but if you can't afford to be unemployed until June, stay quiet.
thanks for the feedback. I just needed some outside perspective. we are in the process ofbuying a house so I'd rather not lose the income.
Plus, you really don't want to have to explain the gap in employment, underwriters are ruthless these days. Definitely go and enjoy it being on their dime

I would definitely go. AT my former job almost everyone who gets pregnant leaves (it's a preschool with no infant care) so before I announced my pregnancy I went to a conference and renewed as many certifications as I could.
