Mostly I just think they do it because it's like a fad or a meme. Like how everyone hates Nickelback and how a zillion people do that whole planking thing. It's just something they grabbed onto and everyone went with it.

I work with 2 bronies. None of us can wrap our heads around it including one of the guys' cousin (another co-worker and the guy who outed them!). We did ask them why MLP. One wouldn't give us an answer (embarrassed is what we are going with) and the 2nd said the innocence was refreshing. Um. Ok. Still don't get it.
