Where should we go for an anniversary trip?

I need inspiration. We want to go somewhere that is within a 2 hour drive of Massachusetts. I'm kind of eh on Cape Cod because we always end up there. Idears please and thank you.

How about Lake George? We went there during the summer a few years ago, and again for our honeymoon three years ago.

We went to Vermont last summer and based ourselves in Burlington. That might be a little over two hours from you, depending on where in Massachusetts you are.

How about Maine? Portland ... I hear Camden is nice, and I've been to Bar Harbor, but that might be further than you want to go.

Rhode Island ... I didn't really care for our trip to Providence, but I hear Newport is nice.

New York City? Mystic CT?

New Hampshire is nice -- I really like Plymouth, actually. Anywhere with a B&B is good. I'd imagine Maine and Vermont to be similar.
