Yeah, it sucked. This show is totally losing me. The longer it goes on the more I think, are these really the people that would survive the zombie apocalypse? No, they aren't because the vast majority of them are too stupid to live under normal circumstances, lol.
Hey all these people showed up to live with us at the prison with no food or supplies.
Is that cool?1
I can't figure out why Rick's Stupid Squad didn't take Woodbury then. You mean the Governor never came back? And there's weaponry and supplies in abundance here, especially now that a large portion of your population was killed?
Quick, everyone! Load up in this bus! We're taking you to the prison, where we have...a prison!!!
we also need to fix this fence.
and i'm 99% sure the south wall is blown to bits.
DON'T BRING WEAPONS OR ANYTHING. give us all your wounded.

it wouldn't have worked if they went to live in woodbury. even after those people figured out the governor was a bad guy it wouldn't have been smart for rick to move his people into that community. deep down the people would have seen it as a take over, an invasion, replacing one governor with a new one. there would have been an undercurrent of distrust. by opening his arms and bringing the people of woodbury into his camp, however depressing and crappy it is, he shows that he is welcoming, trusting, and not looking to be their new dictator. it shows that he is NOT the governor.
I thought the same thing at first, I think the prison is ultimately safer. They would always need multiple armed guards protecting the barricades. The prison can be defended more easily from both zombies and bad guys, especially when the outer walls are fixed. Plus maybe some of Woodbury stayed there? I'm a little worried about the new group...since the governor shot all the "soldiers" (capable people), is everyone else from Woodbury going to be totally dependent on Rick's team for survival? Will they bring any skills to the prison? The Woodbury population was so isolated, I doubt they have many survival skills. I can understand why Carl acted a little pissy about all these moochers being brought back.
I think the show needed to move in this direction though...one more season of the same characters would have gotten a little boring.

They must have some skills. Look at Hershel. He is an old man with only one good leg, but he's full of medical knowledge. Maybe one was an architect who can help repair the wall. Maybe some are old but able-bodied and can help start the farming in the yard they talked about earlier in the season. They can also help watch the baby and free up younger people for zombie killing.
