I will post some GTKY questions to make up for our double randoms post.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... 2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? 3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? 4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...) 5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
I am addicted to watching Midsomer Murders. If you like English country tv shows, this is a great murder mystery one. I watched 2 x 100min episodes while making the quilt and just got 4 more dvds from the library. Current food - Target archers farms fiery chai roobois. Addicted.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? I really wanted to travel and work in a glamourous travel job like flight attendant. I do work in the travel industry and have travelled all over, staying at nice hotels and flying first class so I guess I made it but now I kind of want to be a housewife.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? Age 17 was by far my best year. Lots of fun, no responsibilities and no exams (we have exams at 16 and 18 in the UK).
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...) I would love to get down to 125 pounds but I have been saying that for the last 15 years. I have a goal of one handmade gift a month this year (making them for Christmas). This month is learning to knit and making baby stuff for my bbf's little girl. I normally have a goal of saving $10K a year but with ivf that might be out of the window this year.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? Last year we moved in April so by the time I was settled, I kind of missed the planting season. I am going to do a big vegatable garden. I also want my garden to look like this but dh said it looks stupid and messy (google english country garden)
1. I just finished The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis, I liked it quite a bit. I am also loving this lotion from Paula's Choice. I really think it's at least making some difference in my KP.
2. When I was a teen I wanted to be an attorney. Competitive debate makes you want to do that...lol. I did not go to law school and I really am glad that I didn't now. Most of my friends who did go to law school are not happy with their careers at this point.
3. I would like to go back to the summer I was 17 but just for the summer. My BFF and I had the absolute best time and I remember feeling so carefree and like I could take over the world. It was also before my dad passed away so I would spend more time with him.
4. I am running my first "back to running" 5k on 4/20. I would love to get a PR, but really I just want to beat my first 5k time since this is basically like starting from scratch again.
5. I did some planting last Friday but have some more to finish. I am looking forward to it getting and staying warm but am not looking forward to the severe thunderstorms/tornados we almost always have this time of year.
@icedgems - That's a beautiful garden! I would love something like that!
1. My new running shoes. They are so comfy and breaking them in has been a breeze. Any the color is fun too!
2. A teacher or a WNBA basketball player. No I didn't do either. I did start out college in an education major, but changed. I played basketball through college. My body took a beating doing that, I can't imagine if I had gone past that level. It would have been fun though!
3. H and I were just reminiscing about when we were like 10....missing the days where stress was nonexistent. But I'd love to go back to high school...like 16. I had a blast those 4 years.
4. To get my runs down to a 9min/mi. My race is at the end of the month, my goal is to finish the 5mi in 45min. Right now I'm running just under 10min/mile so I've got a bit of work to do in the next 4 weeks!
5. I'm so looking forward to summer. I feel much more motivated to to anything when its warm out. We have some yard work to do, but H mostly does all that. I watch and play with the pups.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
I'm loving Tazo Green Tea with Ginger. Drinking it all day.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career?
I wanted to be a nurse, which I am not. lol. I'm happy with my career choices, but there is part of me that still thinks I'd really enjoy nursing.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
I think probably 18. I really enjoyed 18.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
Nah, not for this month. I think I'd like to find a new job in the next few months, but I'm not rushing towards that right now.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
God, yes. My H has an internship he has to do all summer so we likely won't travel much (it's also my busiest time at work), but just to take a walk, sit on a patio and have a beer, be outside....it's pretty much what I fantasize about these days.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
A lot of us are on a tea kick right now! I'm obsessed with iced Thai Tea - brew the tea and add a few teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk. Yuuummmm. I'm also loving The Bloggess' book, Sugar lip treatment, and a nice dessert wine.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career?
No. I wanted to work in the medical field, or be a corrections officer. I'm a social worker. So, at second thought, I'm probably a good combination of both.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
Probably college aged, but because I have some big regrets and wish I could re-do the time.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
No goals. The RE nurse who checks me in keeps saying that I should exercise regularly, and I keep telling her that I won't. So, exercising more (or at all) should be my goal, but it's not, lol.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
The weather is PERFECT right now. It's 77 degrees today, and beautiful. I wish it would stay like this, but it'll be over 100 by June, which i don't love. I'm waiting for my husband to have time to get up quads running, and we'll go out riding. Also looking forward to getting some camping trips planned as things dry out.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
I'm unnaturally obsessed with murderers, especially women murderers. I watch all the shows on ID and Bio. MH thinks I'm nuts.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career?
In kindergarten I wanted to be a grocery store cashier because I liked to push buttons. LOL Then I wanted to be a marine biologist; until I realized that most of them have masters degrees but barely make over minimum wage. Fuck all that noise.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
All you people who want to go back to high school are fucking nuts. Was I the only one who pretty much HATED HS? Awkward rejection city; no thanks! I'd probably go back to my early 20s - take more frivolous college classes, have more casual sex, NOT get suckered into buying a house we couldn't afford with my BF (now H) at 20.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
Pretty much exactly what Jewel posted. I always "want" to make exercise my monthly goal, but I never do.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
Oh God YES! I'm such a warm weather nut. It's gorgeous outside right now and I'm planning on skipping out early since my boss isn't here and neither are most of the other people in my dept! We are traveling like gangbusters this summer. I don't know how we're going to afford it, but we'll figure it out I guess. So far: Portland in 2 weeks; Seattle next month; DC in June; somewhere TBA in either Central America or the Caribbean in July/August (we follow our local soccer team and these are all trips to watch the team, but also vacations. They are in the CONCACAF Champions League this summer, which involves playing the best teams from all over N.America, C.America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Once the schedule comes out, we'll pick one of the destinations and make that our "big" summer vacation).
I will post some GTKY questions to make up for our double randoms post.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Ginger ale. Schwepps, non-diet only. 2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? As a kid, I never really knew. I just wanted to work with people in a humanitarian or educational way. Now, I do. 3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? Yes and no. I'm glad that I learned from certain things. Maybe my early twenties; I was started my career, but hung out with toxic people. I should have cut them out sooner. 4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? This month-to get more organized. This year-to get finances more in order and keep my grades where I want them in my program. 5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? NJ is cold again! This is not right! I'm looking forward to our town finishing its come back from 'SuperStorm Sandy'.
1. I broke out my road bike for the spring a few weeks ago and am loving the weather and the calm I feel while I ride.
2. In high school I wanted to be a physical therapist. I am now a nurse. I love nursing but think I would love being a PT even more.
3. I don't know that I would go back in time just because I used to be really introverted and shy and have recently started coming out of that and it is really nice!
4. Our goal is to pay off the remainder of our CC debt by june or july so we can start saving for IVF if our IUI cycles are a bust. Also, I am in school and will be done in december....I am an LPN getting my RN. I will continue on after december but there is an end in sight for the moment!
5. I am loving the 60 and 70 degree weather right now! I am not looking forward to summer when it will be 90-100+ every day.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
Blackberries. I keep buying them and they are sooo good. I'm also reading one of the books in the Outlander series right now, and I love that series!
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career?
I wanted to be a teacher, and now I am one! My neighbors all laughed when they found out I was going to be a teacher- they said I was perfect for it because I spent my childhood bossing around all the neighborhood kids.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
I would go back to the year after I finished grad school and I started working, but I'd want to know everything I know now. I lived with my girlfriends and was dating DH. I could have made smarter choices about saving money and stuff like that.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
Get through it, lol. I am really just trying to get through the rest of this school year. I had gotten pregnant at the beginning of the school year, and I was just so excited for the year and I felt good about being a teacher. Now, I feel like this school year is cursed because of all the bad stuff that's happened with IF, plus it's been a tough year with the kids and administration, so I just really want it to be over.
I live my life in school years, so when you say this year that's what I go to!
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
I can't wait to get gardening! I love growing veggies and eating them. It's a little bittersweet though. Last October, when I first found out that things might not be going well with the pregnancy, I planted a ton of bulbs all around the house. I figured in the spring I would at least get to have pretty flowers if I didn't get to have a baby. Now they are coming up and I want to trample them.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... Coronaritas are my favorite weekend beverage. I'd drink one everyday if I didn't have to get up for work.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? A teacher when I was young and a marriage counselor when I was a teen. I currently work in the psychology field in public education so I'm close.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? 18 was really good for me. I was really trying to figure out who I was and my first year of college was a blast. I loved it. 26 was also a good age for me. It was my favorite "grown up" year.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...) My goal this month was to apply for a job and lose 2-4 lbs. I've accomplished the application goal but I'm not even close to my weight goal. This year, I'd like to do a few home repairs and keep money in the bank. I haven't figured out how to do both.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? I'm looking forward for the 70-85 degree weather. Once it gets 90+ I get cranky. I plan to drink on my patio and work in my garden Apr-June.

berbles - DH was watching Bio this weekend and son of the commercials were cracking me up. "My Sister the Killer", "My BFF Tried to Kill Me" - so dramatic!
speyedr - I've had my bike out for a few weeks. I am adoring the rides! This weekend it's supposed to be mid-70s and sunny Sat and Sun. I cannot wait to do a longer morning ride one or both days.
mae141 - hopefully your flowers are indicative of the new life you've it going on right now. I'm on a raspberry kick. Raspberry muffins, raspberry smoothies, handfuls of raspberries. Yum!

I haven't seen any good looking ones yet at the grocery store, but I loooove raspberries when they are in season. I can't wait!
I will post some GTKY questions to make up for our double randoms post.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... 2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? 3. 1. I just reread the Harry Potter Books. I am also loving my H who is enabling me in being away from the house when my in-laws are here.
2. I wanted to be a teacher. That is what my degree is in but right now I am a houswife. I am considering going back to school eventually maybe for accounting?
3. 16-17 best time ever. Had my own car. Was in college courses so my days were scheduled differently than most high school students. And I worked and only had to pay for half my car insurance and gas awww good times.
4. I would like to loose 15 pounds this year. other than that get through it. And hopefully we will get news by end of year when H can re-inlist and where we can go!
5. I need to plant my garden. It was been decent here. I love laying in my hamock reading a book.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... I just finished watching season 1 of Homeland. I loved it. What a fabulous show.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? I wanted to be on Broadway. I have absolutely no talent so this is completely unrelated to my actual career
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? I would like to be 25 again b/c it seemed so young, while still being a grown-up, but I wish I could take DH andf DD with me. I also have a lot more self-confidence now, so I would want to bring that, too.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...) I have fallen short on all my goals
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? I have a lot of spring activities I'm looking forward to. We're going to some Yankees games, going to Disney, have season passes to Sesame Place, and some other fun things planned.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... Chewy sprees. I bought some for Easter and they are so yummy!
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? I wanted to be an oceanographer. No. Damn WI for not having any oceans!
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
Yes. 19-21. My college days were the most fun I have ever had. Lots of friends, lots of free time, and no stress.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
I always have the same goals (save $ and lose weight) and I never work on them. Maybe this will be the month. Or not.
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans?
Oh my gosh, yes. However, it snowed this weekend, so I think I still have some time to wait. We tore out some ugly, overgrown bushes early last year and the bed sat empty all summer. I really need to figure out what I want to do about it. Actually, I want to hire someone to design it, but I am to cheap and have too many more important things to put money towards.
1. What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything... Reese's Eggs. I still have a bag and a half in my fridge. I'm trying to ration them, ha. 2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career? I wanted to be a lawyer, then a journalist. No, I am a teacher. I love it though and can't imagine doing anything else. 3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why? Yes, I would go back to when I was 23, right before we got engaged. I would love to do wedding planning over again, just so I could tell myself to chill the heck out and enjoy it more. 4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...) Lose some weight. I'm not overweight, but I am heavier than I'd like to be. I have lost 8 pounds in the last month and I am hoping to lose another 15-20 pounds by summer. 5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? Yes! Nothing planned, but I can't wait to be able to go on walks again, grill out, go to the pool, etc.
What is something you are loving right now? Could be a food, a beauty product, a book, anything...
I am into the colour coral. I have a job interview on Friday and I just bought a killer coral eyelet skirt.
2. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did you make that your career?
I wanted to be lots of things, none of which were a teacher, which is what I am now.
3. Would you go back to any age? If so when and why?
No. I would say yes because I would have liked to have met DH younger but I am 6 years older than him, that would have been wrong/illegal.
4. Do you have any goals for this month? This year? (TTC obv., but other than that...)
I need to lose 10lbs. I want to lose 10lbs. Hence the glass of water next to me rather than a glass of wine
5. Are you looking forward to warmer weather? Any spring planting or activity plans? Amen, I hate the cold. Last year we moved into a house with a lot of landscaping and now I have to learn what the hell to do with it all. It is daunting, gardening is NOT a passion.
