I love every single Julep polish I own. They are surprisingly pigmented, and many are totally opaque with only 1 coat. They have frequent sales, and a monthly box subscription. I skip most months so I'm not completely overwhelmed with polish, but it's a fun treat when I don't skip. They have a lot of great sales, too. You can try a box for a penny with the code COLOR2012 (not sure if shipping is free or not). Here's my referral link:

Essie never stays on my nails, but I like the colors.
Seche Vite topcoat is a miracle.
But I've gotten back into the gel manicures b/c they last for such a long time, and I'm so hard on my nails. It also makes them stronger and less likely to break -- and I'm the asshole who breaks one and then gnaws the rest off because I can't stand when they're uneven.
I love Essie, Orly, OPI. I also buy the Sally Hansen dry fast for the kids. They are perfect, you add some fast drying top coat and they can literally get up and go as soon as you are done, which is awesome with a 2yo. Yes, my 2yo is obsessed with nail polish.
OPI is the only one that seems to stay on more than a day, so, that.
This. I just ordered Alpine Snow and Sweetheart so I can do my French manis since the ones I have are getting goopy. This winter I have been using metal colors on my toes (gunmetal grey, copper, gold etc). With spring I like to do French pedi or coral-y colors. I use Seche Vite topcoat. I love nail polish.

I really like Sinful Colors nail polish. You van get on sale at Walgreens for 99 cents frequently. Their color selection is awesome and it holds up pretty well. I also use OPI, Essie, and a bunch of other brands.
I'm not brand loyal. I will use any kind of polish (as evidenced by the 4 dozen or so bottles I have) but one of my favorites is the Butter London that my secret santa BlackCanary got me. It's beautiful silver hologram and I get TONS of compliments every time I use it.
I get gels done every two weeks, so I use the OPI gel lacquer line. I don't own a whole lot of polish myself because I go to get my nails done. Some of my favorite colors include: I'm Really Not a Waitress Lincoln Park After Dark Black Cherry Chutney Cajun Shrimp (all OPI)
I love OPI. And any color with sparkles, prefer darker colors, on my toes. I rarely get my fingernails done, if I do, something lighter and less flashy.
Nail polish is a total weakness for me. Over the years I've collected...a lot. But it doesn't go bad (a few drops of thinner and it's good as new) so I don't feel too bad. I've found I can wear any brand, so long as I use a good base coat and topcoat.
I also love Essie's colors but am always disappointed with how long it stays on or rather how quickly it chips. It also takes a lot of coats, IMO, to get a good solid color, but maybe I just suck at painting nails.
I like Orly and OPI for polish. They seem to last the longest for me w/out chipping.
I have been using CND Shellac lately because I can get 14+ days out of a manicure, plus I can do fun additives and glitter effects that you just can't achieve w/regular polish.
CND is also coming out w/a new 7-10 + day polish line in May that we have ordered. I'm really excited to try those out.
