Suggest a piece of furniture

I need something by the back door to corral some junk. We used to have a ladder bookcase here, but I didn't love it. I would just like something to put a purse and maybe hide that bin of outdoor stuff (chalk, bubbles, sunscreen, etc). We have more room than it shows because the couch is pushed out further than it usually is.

Well, I'm an antique junkie so take this with a grain of salt, but I would find a small antique hutch/curio/buffet the same height as the couch, and set it against the back of the couch to use as storage...

But that's just me...

I have this from Ikea and it is awesome. I have baskets in each of the cubbies and it holds all kids of toys, coloring books, and DVDs.

I like what madringal posted. I would do something sofa table height to add storage.
