Thank you!! Not a nurse, but I hope this helps bring me in better graces after a tiny spat w/ a grt friend, who IS a nurse! (I totally think it will!! Thx!)
This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I don't work in a hospital anymore. I laughed so hard that I was crying. This is awesome. Thank you
I also love when you find out your patients a nurse. I feel more comfortable working around fellow nurses, as long as their nice.
Really? I feel like I always get the patients whose moms are nurses and you can just feel the eyes. Judging, judging, always judging.
The ones the crack me up are the ones that tell you they are a nurse and you find out later she is a medical assistant or claims to be a pharmacist but, you know, just works at a pharmacy.

YES. this always happen.
or, "i'm an EMT."
oh. that's the same.
"i've been doing it for like, four months now."
I find a lot of PSWs think they are nurses, and thus God. Another thing I don't miss about working at nursing homes.
"When nurses eat their young how it sounds to the older nurse:
how it sounds to the newer nurse: " My life
Not all workplaces are like this!! I've definitely worked in places like this, and it sucked, huge. Where I work now, nurses are encouraging to each other, and help. Instead of bitch.

That's how my unit is too. I try to remind myself that I just need to suck it up and deal a little longer and then I'll be "more senior," but damn if those bitches don't make me cranky.
