I wish I was really flexible. Like, where you can pull your whole leg up to your head. Or that I could do a really good split leap. After I do my ballet conditioning DVD, I go around releveing and plieing all day. LOL.

And they are crazy!
I wanted to be a ballerina for so long but after a zillion years of it, I realized that I just was not cut out to be a prima. So I when the jazz/tap/lyrical way. I loved dance.
I miss ballet so much. I stopped 2 years ago. I still dream about it all the time. And I may or may not dance around my house
Once this kid is out it's my goal to go back to it.
There's a really good studio just a few minutes away that has adult classes. I really want to go try them out, but I'm slightly nervous since I'm so out of shape. But I guess that's the point of a adult class, right?
That is crazy! I wasn't ever a dancer, but I've always loved watching them and I'm continually amazed that anyone can dance on their toes like that. I dated a male ballet dancer in college. That's as close as I got. LOL

I would love it if Lucy's dance school taught adult beginners. I always wanted to dance but I never even asked my parents. Ah well, I'd have to drop at least 20 lbs before I got into a leotard at all, let alone in public. I'll just pretend that Zumba is real dancing for now, lol
I don't miss it. I hated every minute of all 12+ years of it. I have mad respect for dancers though, and my feet are aching just thinking of pointe.
I was told that pointe would be easier for me because I have a really high(almost pointe) naturalrelevé. Is that possible? Everyone always says how hard it was.
ETA: That didn't come out the way I intended it to. But seriously, if someone's relevé is naturally very high, would pointe be easier?

It's possible, but easy is relative. Easier, maybe. I don't know anyone for whom pointe didn't hurt like a bitch, of they danced a lot.
I figured it would hurt either way if you danced a lot, but for learning pointe? Anyways, it is probably too late now. I really miss dancing though.
I never took ballet because my mom told me I was probably a little big boned to be a ballerina. Womp womp. I definitely admire the flexibility and strength.
