We just spent the entire weekend ripping out carpets, organizing, and cleaning. We were feeling good about the house and saying that we can now focus on finishing our renovations.
I have been doing laundry all evening, I threw another load in and Husband went to get ready for work and he's all "Moonbeam, your cat peed on the floor!!!" So I got up to look. Uh no, the washing machine dumped tons of water onto the floor.
Our washing machine is in our kitchen, our kitchen has carpet still, I walked around the front of it and saw it all over the floor. So I checked this so called pee spot, nope, all water. There is a half wall behind the washing machine, it leaked all under there and onto the plywood flooring that is exposed.
Husband is pretty sure that it is just the hose, but still...gross. And damn it. Now the plywood flooring is going to puff up considering the water was sitting on it for awhile before we noticed, we have to rip it all up anyway but we were hoping we could wait awhile.
I will have to keep in mind to check any and all tiny hoses. He thinks the main hose is loose, but he was getting ready for work and was running late due to it, so he wasn't totally sure. He is going to pull them out tomorrow.
