Omg good for you!
I had "liked" a radio personality that used to be local here and moved- Lisa Paige. She posted something to the effect of "do what you want but I'm not replacing the pic of my kids with that red equal sign." it popped up on my news feed and pissed me off big time. I commented "then don't. Is your statement just a thinly veiled disapproval of gay marriage? Transparent." she got pissed and told me to calm the hell down and have a glass of wine, lol.
Scarier is that she had tons of supporters chiming in "she just wants to show her kids pictures!" blah blah. I in liked her page. I'm sure her world is now falling apart without my like.
Of course this fascist feminist blog is run by a man!
frkls, I always find it odd that many pillars of the peace movement were overtly religious and even based their teachings in religion, but that gets overlooked in so many discussions. I am thinking of Martin Luther King, Jr and Gandhi in particular. MLK was a revered, FFS! The crusades and fatwas are great examples of religious types being epic fuckups, but at the same time, a lot of the arguments you're talking about are historically inaccurate and full of cognitive dissonance. I'm a heathen, but it bugs me!
