Mine seems to be linked to my hormones because it is worse around my period.
Mine is too. And stress. Tea tree oil provides minimal relief, but really, nothing truly works. My psoriasis is actually worse when I've tried tar products. It flares horribly and it get red and inflamed.
I have it in my scalp. It went away when i was pregnant, but now it's back and worse than ever. i even have it on the inside of one of my ears. I havent found anything that works, since 99% of it is in my hair, I can't use the tar products, and most things I have tried burn so badly, that I would rather just flake.
@sake I have it on my scalp, too. Ask for Clobetasol solution and Loprox. Neither burn and both are $10 copays for me. They work miracles, esp. the Clobetasol (steroid solution).
Massive amounts of palmer's regular cocoa butter. For years now. I have bad patches on my elbows, but they're always soft because of how much cocoa butter I use.
Between the Loprox shampoo and Clobetasol, my scalp is for the first time ever free and clear. Don't let them give you foams, though. You can never get that stuff down to your scalp before it's just stuck to your hair. The foams are good for open areas. The Clobetasol solution is the best b/c you can put the applicator on your scalp directly and the liquid runs along your skin - not in your hair.
