I know I suspected it but it is still tough.
I went in for my 5th (!!) supression check today and my estrogen is still way too high and my cyst is growing. Initially they said to stay on the lupron for another week and go in next Thursday but then changed and said stop lupron, start bcp tomorrow and go in for a review next week. Hoping to be able to cycle in May but have a business trip then so am going to have to get a doctor's note which adds to the stress.
Not sure if I will be on a different protocol or what next time. This cycle has been a frigging disaster. Cannot believe I have been injecting myself for 25 days for f all.

discogranny - That is what I am hoping. I am off to the pharmacy in a minute to pick up the bcp. I'm really pissed I wasn't given bcp in the first place then would have avoided all this.
I'm really not sure I will be able to cycle in May because of work - have to see what the doctor is saying for my protocol next week. I just want to get going!
I'm so sorry, that's awful. For my first IVF I also was not given BCP and had a cyst at my initial monitoring appointment. After a bunch of other bad stuff happened I ended up being on Lupron for a total of 6 weeks before starting stims. I hope May works out for you!

Kershnic, that is what I am dealing with. DH is wasn't at the apt with me and he is now saying I should have stayed on the Lupron and waited it out but I just want the cyst gone so I can start fresh. He wants to phone the RE this morning and ask. Personally I am good with just going on bcp and starting with a clean, cyst free slate in May.

If you've been trying to keep going with lupron and hope the cyst shrinks a few times already and its only getting bigger it's probably time to try BCP. My situation getting dragged out had as much to do with other circumstances (namely a hurricane) as it did my body. Keep us updated.
kershnic - thanks. Yes, DH just got off the phone with the nurse. Basically they think I should have been on a short protocol from the beginning given my history of cysts. The cyst has grown every single time so the Lupron is not doing anything.
I'm starting the bcp this morning and hopefully will then do short protocol in May. I appreciate your advice and I actually referenced you to Dh and the nurse this morning.
