when will my baby be out of the shrieking phase?

He um, discovered his "voice" in the last few days.  He enjoys shrieking all.the.time.  So, when will this be over?

It didn't last too long. But she's gone through a loud screech phase a few times.

Each one has been fairly short lived. Slightly funny, slightly annoying, but didn't last long enough for me to start screaming.

kidding, but seriously, once they discover their voice they pretty much never shut the fuck up. K can kill your ears with her scream/cry. And now C is all about asking you a million questions and only giving you 1.2 seconds to answer you before asking again.

No Advice. Just wanted to share... my nephew started shrieking around 3-4 months... we called him the pterodactyl! LOL

He's 4 now and a LOUD little boy. :-)

Lol! I've been saying DS makes pterodactyl sounds since he was itsy bitsy.  It cracks me up.

C went through phases. Now he's doing the "eeee!" squeals while smiling. I think it's cute

well, we are right on schedule then.  
It's really cute when he's laughing while doing it.... but when he manages only three 4-10 minute naps and is still shrieking at 9pm but clear;y exhausted and that it's not so cute.  
Also, the poor girls at the Y playcare centre had to deal with it, while two other kids had meltdowns.  I managed only 30 minutes of workout, and then had to rescue them.  I went home in my workout clothes, without showering.

Em still yells (she's almost 4 months). She likes to yell at things. Toys. Me. Her bottle... All.The.Time.

I don't remember how long J shrieked. I know that eventually he only did it when super happy. My sister would put him in that jumpy contraption thing and he would jump and shriek for 20 minutes at a time. He LOVED that thing.
