Can I be a special snowflake? I work for a corporation that is the largest of its type in the world, but the average layperson would not recognize the name, LOL.

No. I work for myself and unfortunately I am not nationally known. My H is also self employed, but nearly all of his income comes from a large company that anyone would recognize.
Yep, well, sort of. I work at the headquarters for a well-known apparel/underwear brand. The corporate real estate company I work for does their facility services.
Yep! NOLA is my favorite city and there was one here in Houston as well. I prefer the "World Famous Love Acts" on Bourbon though. Eeewweee! *stabs self in both eyes*
My DHs company, yes. My company is nationally known but in our industry. The average person doesn't know our name. Most Americans benefit from our services every time you use your cell phone. You are welcome

Yes, for the part-time stock job I just got. And sort-of yes for the chocolate place. West coast, yes. In other states, it depends. We also have a couple stores in other countries.

DH does. mine - you'd think I worked for the company that used to own us as the names are very similar and theirs is recognizable (a beer company) but my specific company you wouldn't know.
Yes and no. We're the nation's largest company that does what we do. And people are very familiar with the places we run. But no one knows our corporate name. It's well known in our industry, but not to the average person.
You probably haven't heard my company's name, but, as of last year, we're the industry leader. The #2 company (our rival) is located about 10 miles from here.
You've definitely benefited from our products, you just don't know it. We're not much of an end-market producer.
