that has had recurrent Shingles? I had my first outbreak in February and had a recurrence start yesterday. I have an Rx for Acyclovir that's refillable so if I have it again I don't have to go to the doctor again. But I was just curious how often have you had recurrences?

I don't have lesions. I didn't last time either and the rash never became fluid filled. He said it was because I noticed it so quickly. But my doctor is very sure its Shingles because of the lingering nerve pain and the fact that it does not cross the midline at all and is staying in the same general location. He didn't seem to think it was to quick for a recurrence even though I agree with you that it seemed really quick for it to come back.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound doubty, its just that a young person who gets shingles is odd enough (I had them once 5 years ago) but a recurrence doesn't generally happen in someone so young and someone healthy. What do you have if you don't have lesions? And where (if you don't mind my asking). Mostly because I'm a medical nut and I like to hear people's experiences with things.

Oh you didn't seem doubty. I honestly thought the same thing but he didn't seem that concerned about it. So for the moment I'm just going to take the Rx and see what happens.
I have a raised red bumpy rash that is clustered near my spine. At the moment its very low on the left hand side right above my tail bone. Last time it was in the same spot but just went up higher and was about the size of my hand. This time its probably the size of a silver dollar. He said that I don't have lesions because we keep catching it so quickly.
Thanks. I'm really hoping this is the last time it happens. I need to find a way to have a less stressful life, which is what seems to be kicking it back up for me.
