Dog itching ear like crazy tonight - help?

I'm seeing this too late to be much help, but we have a ear cleaning solution that sometimes gives a little relief from brewing ear infections. But usually once it's actually infected, we just have to wait for meds. Our dog used to get a lot of allergy-inspired ear infections, but now he's on antihistamines year round with a higher dose in the spring and fall. That seems to keep the infections mostly at bay.
