My cat constantly does this. Sometimes, he'll stare with intensity at the wall behind our couch and I'm thinking, "WTF do you see??"

Dude. Our cat likes to sit in front of the blank space of wall just by the front door (the other side of the wall is my daughter's room), and stare at it.  Then he'll rise, walk closer, get his face right to the wall, and sit again.

We're convinced something unearthly is going on there.

My cats do that to the sliding glass door all the time. Most of the time there is a coon on the porch though but it always creeps me out.
