Has anyone used airBnB

for a rental for vacation? I ran across this site on a review page for different rental websites, and found a cabin I really like for our vacation this summer.  The owner has been really nice and quick about getting back to me with questions and has nothing but stellar reviews. 

Has anyone booked through this site?

My friend did and she LOVED it. The owners of the home she stayed in let them use their bikes and left them a 6 pack of local beer. Pretty cool. And it was cheap, she got a steal - 50 bucks a night in a great neighborhood in NOLA.

We used it twice in Europe. It was great! Though, one time we just rented a room in an apartment- and I didn't love that.

But, when we rented the whole apartment our host wrote a really cool itinerary for us and let us use his bikes.

I was being ridiculously picky on what I wanted for our vacation --- I wanted a cabin, with some sort of kitchen, a hot tub, and either a fire place OR a fire pit outside. I found that on airBnB, for $585/week (which is about what we paid when we went to Gatlinburg.) Not very many cabins in Vermont seem to have hot tubs.
