sonrisa - and really anybody who is doing/has done acupuncture....

Are you going to continue to do acupuncture regularly?

Also, how much are you paying per appointment?

Been doing it since October.

I go twice a week while cycling and 1 x week otherwise. When I wasn't cycling at all he did give me pills to take too (herbs).


I'm taking a break for now but will start again once I start cycling again.
Mine is $85 a session. Painful to spend nearly $800 a month on acu.

My guy is a fertility specialist. I saw his flyers at another RE's office when I went for a second opinion. He is chinese and barely speaks English, when I googled him I found he had written a lot of books on fertility and acupuncture. I kind of use him like a second opinion a lot, bounce ideas of him etc.

I haven't started yet, but I do have a referral in. I'm dragging my feet, for no good reason at all. I'm hoping to start this month, and will continue through all IUIs and IVF (if needed).

Anyway, mine is covered under health/chiropractic insurance, so I pay a $10 copay per visit.

$100 a session. She wants me to go once CD 3-5, 1-2 days before ovulation and 5 days after. So $300/month. I will continue for at least a few cycles.

I'm going once per week, every week, for either three cycles or until I get pregnant. If I'm not pregnant by three cycles, then I can go EOW.

Then he wants to see me once per week for the first tri, then not again until I'm near birth. (CLEARLY this guy is an optimistic thinker, but ok.)

At a rate of $100 per session I am starting to have anxiety about this!

But I'm worried if I quit, I won't feel like I've done everything I could have.

Lola, I went for about 3-4 months, generally twice a week.  My insurance covered it.   I stopped going only b/c I switched jobs and the place was not as convenient anymore. I will probably go back again, but once per week since it's a bit farther for me now.

I did not get pregnant.  However, I will say that I did notice a lot of changes in my body - I was ovulated earlier than my norm (day 13-15 vs. 17-20), I had a lot more "pregnancy" symptoms toward the end of my cycle (all progesterone-related) like sore boobs, etc.
