no idea. we buy "oops paint" from lowes and HD. whenever an appropriate color comes up, we decide if it works. i hope we get some cute colors this time. no more yellow and blue haha.
we've already picked out the wall color, but haven't purchased. depending on the genders, i have an idea of what i'd like to do. and yes, i'm totally going to be that mom that makes everything pink if they are girls. :0) minus the wall color. i am planning grey, white, with pink and teal. if there are 2 boys, we'll do grey white blue/green or blue/orange. we shall see!
I've started a hidden pinterest board in the last couple of weeks. But, I'm still a bit uncomfortable buying anything and I can't paint anything right now anyway since we don't know where we'll be living.

i lie, i bought a boppy at target because you got a $10 gift card with purchase.. so 20 for it was a good price, imo.
We finally started. We have a room now, and we have the crib all put together, mattress, boppy, diaper genie, stroller and carseat, moby wrap, 2 bath tubs, 2 swings and a co sleeper so far. Oh, and my glider. Most of these items were gifted to us, with the exception of the wrap and stroller that I bought. It's so night that its coming together!!
Will start on more decorating once we know the gender... Only another 16 days!
Boppy = lame sauce. Return it. Get the breast friend pillow!
On the flipside, we love our boppy so. XD
have you tried the breastfriend? i used a boppy for the first few weeks, bc i was too lazy to wash the cover of the breastfriend pillow (i got it as a later-gift, whereas the boppy was early). after i used the BF, i never went back and can't believe i ever enjoyed the boppy. there's a lot more support with the BF, bc it clips behind your back...you never need to adjust it from slipping, etc. there's a little pocket on it, that i used for breastpads and little towels bc i had such an over supply issue. it has a little bump on it that raises LO's head just the right amount, in case there's a reflux issue and/or for comfort.

We like the Boppy for more than just bfing though I think is what it is. (I tried it on during a breastfeeding class and the breast friend felt really awkward and bulky). We used the boppy to help make tummy time a little more enjoyable early on for instance.
do you have a picture of this? i heard that it could be used for this, but i never "got" it. it never looked comfortable. all the pictures i googled of "boppy tummy time" were always of older kids that could hold their head up. bjl never had a real issue with tummy time, though.....
what about a picture from the backside? haha. like his stomach? i feel like there's an empty space bc there's too much of an angle and/or their back shouldn't arch that way.
No photos of him from the back side, but I don't remember being concerned that his back was arched or there was an angle. Really, there wasn't much more angle than if he were pushing himself up, which he was already doing around then anyway. It's just he would get angry and faceplant and then howl. (He really hated tummy time.)
I don't know how comfy the breast friend is for babies? We have a ton of photos of him sleeping on the boppy cause he'd pass out from milk coma while eating, and when that happened, I'd just scoot back into the couch or bed and read while I waited for him to wake up. I feel like that's harder with the breast friend? Cause there's that part behind you?
i just kept the thing clipped to me and walked around with her still on it..i just used one hand to hold her...i guess that's not perfectly practical...but i will say that it was an absolute life saver one day when TMI TMI TMI i was having severe tummy issues and had to run to the bathroom for #2 during a feeding. i was able to hold her, still feeding, and run to the bathroom and take care of business. she never missed a beat.
actually now that i think about it, there were times when i unclipped the BF pillow and left her on there....i don't remember it being an issue, i just prefered to have her with me.
Hahaha. I guess I was lucky, other than needing to pee which usually could wait for Thor's 10-30 minute naps to be over. ;-; I generally just had him on me, on the pillow, while I read or did something less productive. I figured it was a sign that I should just slow down for a little bit and sit still. XD

I agree.. I had the boppy and never used it until she started sitting... oh I lie I used it to prop her up when she was laying in her pack-n-play so she was laying at an angle. I never used it for nursing though.. I always use a regular pillow and still do when I'm at home. Less strain on my shoulders and back that way.
I have read lots of reviews and opinions on the boppy and MBF. It seems that people have very strong opinions on these, either the boppy is amazing and MBF sucks or vice versa. There doesn't seem to be a clear "winner."
I was concerned b/c I'm bigger, but also w/ plus size moms they love one or the other. Not helpful.
As a plus-sized mama, I have to say I tried the MBF, and I really preferred just a regular bed pillow. I thought the MBF was just too much work when all I really wanted to do was support her a little bit and get her on my boob. I felt like it helped "too much" if that makes sense. I'll try it again with Baby #2, but we'll see how I feel about it then.

Did you ever try a boppy?
No, but the shape of it didn't appeal to me. I kept hearing that it was too curvy (like not enough surface area to be comfortable for baby) and just poorly designed in general. And because I had a c/s, it was just more comfortable to have something really moldable and soft that laid on my belly comfortably while supporting M.
Is it bad that I don't really know what you guys are talking about?
which part?
@jennuinne - have you tried a mybrestfriend on? or a boppy they fit me, so they should fit you.. i'm planning on getting the mbf for twins, so that I can have more support. it may not work, but I still wanna try it. I also bought a boppy, and I think my sil has one for me as well, so we'll use that to do tummy time and stuff.

Well I get the idea of a boppy being a pillow you use when nursing, but I don't really know how it works and I haven't heard of the other thing, and really just haven't given this piece of things much thought at all. It's freaking me out, like I should be reading a book of what all the baby *things* are, and what you do with the things..... You guys seem like you already know so much!
don't worry stretchad.... hang out on the board more...you'll hear random things, and decide to look up random things, and then from there click onto other things...you'll learn soooo much! i don't remember what made me register for the MBF pillow...but a friend of mine bought it, and i thought it was really weird and i didn't use it for several weeks.. the LC at the hospital also recommended it.
