but COME ON!  So we have an amazon wishlist for A.  MIL finally figures out how to look it up today and decides immediately she wants to buy the one item that says "out of stock" (though if you actually click on the item, it's not out of stock).  So she calls DH like FOUR freaking times bc he wasn't answering (um gee maybe he was busy taking care of our baby???) and then finally leaves a message saying she wants to buy the wagon but it's out of stock.  Before he can call her back or send her an email tellng her thath it's not out of stock but if she wnats to buy it locally they have it at toys r us, she emails us both saying that they got A a different wagon (still radio flyer but not the one we had on her list) because the amazon one was out of stock but she knows she'll like this one just as much.  I do not like the one she picked out.  We put items on A's wishlist for a reason.  They are the items we have researched and eventually want to get her.  I mean really, she couldn't have waited until tomorrow??  And also, if she'd typed in the name of the wagon we had on her wishlist into the toys r us website it would have come up instead of the other one she purchased (from toys r us!)  Cheezus christ i want to punch her in the face.  I'm mean, I know.  But COME ON!

I would be annoyed too, but I have no qualms returning gifts...that's what I would do. Once you give it to me, it's mine to do what I like with it.

That's kind of annoying. Maybe she'll include a gift receipt and you can exchange at TRU for the one you want.

Just exchange it. Say you read a review that said the one she picked was dangerous.
