I am ashamed to admit this. I don't know anyone IRL who's had it, or they are not talking about it if they have. The lines between my eyebrows are always making me look ragey when I'm not. Ok sometimes I'm actually ragey but not all the time. Anyway, I went today. I didn't tell anyone, not DH or my BFF.
Thanks for listening, I had to get that off my chest

Really! I always think you look fab and happy, not ragey. How are you sneaking it past DH? Do you like the way it turned out? I am totally not against getting this in the future.

Dude, so many people in SoCal get botox, it's not even shameful here I'm not judging! I totally have one of those lines and it's getting worse. I don't see myself ever being able to do this but I am curious! Do you have a before/after?
Well it takes 4-6 days to take effect, apparently. So I don't have an after just yet, but I will post one next week if you want. Being a novice I'm not sure how it will turn out?!
Charlie I just paid cash. DS1 is at school and DS2 came with me. He's not into any kind of cosmetic surgery so while I don't like keeping it from him, it really was bothering me for a long time. I might tell him in the future, like an afterwards-it's-too-late kind of thing

I was going to ask for pics too.is there any redness? Is it sore?

I totally want to see how it turns out. I've only seen the effects on co-workers that abuse it so I haven't seen how natural it can look (and apparently it can) - curious!

It was a bit red for 5-10 mins afterwards. Not sore. The doctor was subtly (?) suggesting all kinds of other spots to do it in so that made me feel bad! Like crows feet and forehead and all. But I just did the one spot.

If it makes you feel better about yourself then I wouldn't worry! One of the girls at my school was telling me that her friends mother administers it and has Botox parties, she was thinking of getting some done.

Good for you! I am absolutely getting Botox in the future. At the derm practice I worked in many women in their 20s even got it. It's preventative because then the wrinkles don't get worse.
You're gorgeous regardless, so if it makes you feel better about yourself, then that's just an added bonus. Good for you! I'll bet anything your DH won't even notice.
I've always been very against that sort of thing until recently I looked closely at my forehead and I'm only 30 years old. So I'm thinking it's possible I'll be sneaking some botox past the hubs some day myself. The good thing is men are so oblivious they'd never notice! lol

Girl, if it was bothering you and the cash was no big deal, I'm glad you did it! I'm totally not above a little procedure here and there to boost confidence
I absolutely support this kind of thing and most likely will get some myself at some point! I think a little Botox to prevent things from getting worse AND making ourselves feel good! It's like a mini mental healthy/confidence booster which are both pluses in my book!
There are a few women on ML who get their elevens done, too. You could pop over there if you want to talk to some people about it who have done it before.

Elevens!! is this what it's called. Wow I am out of the loop.
