My husband is picking up my prescription for what the Germans call cethalosporene. Or sumshit. You mentioned it yesterday. Anyway, thanks! I think I will die a dramatic death if I don't get rid of this shit.

I really did call the gyno, so I just told her that. But I would have been none the wiser without you. And shit has gotten so much worse since yesterday morning.
D, I have bronchitis and a sinus infection from the debel himself. I'd rather be in labor.

That sucks! I hope the meds kick the devil infection's ass.
Was the gyn at least more informed about what meds you could take while nursing?
She at least looked stuff up. My doctor did, too, but I think she was looking at an online database with info from the pharmaceutical companies. And they're obviously not going to say you can safely nurse and take their drugs. I think my gyno looked in her "red list" book.
Seriously, thanks. If you hadn't said anything, I would just have gotten worse and worse. I still feel like warmed-over shit, but after two pills, I can already taste and smell a little. Hooray for cinnamon toast, boo for diaper full of shit.

Most info you're going to find for lactation will say don't give/use it and some of that is completely valid. As a younger, non-Mom pharmacist, nursing Mom's would ask me if something was safe and I would have to say no and tell them to pump and dump. Now that I'm older and wiser (and have nursed myself) I can give them the risk vs benefit more logically and help them decide. The way I look at it, as long as it's a drug that we would be okay giving to the baby directly and they won't have horrible side effects, go for it! Your original doctor was probably thinking of some of the other antibiotics (like doxycyline and ciprofloxacin) which can't be given to children. Pharmacy is an interesting trade and I'm learning new things every day.
I would just say to give BB some yogurt or probiotics while you're on the antibiotics and I hope you feel much better soon! Let me know how you're doing.
Myself, my cold is still lingering but I can breathe out of my nose better and I'm not so out of breath. I blew my nose getting out of the shower and something popped in my ear and I almost passed out and had to sit down. But now I feel better and can almost hear again! lol
