I asked my manager about clarification on our maternity policy. Turns out she spent an hour on the phone with HR trying to figure it out for me, and I may not even be going back after my leave (they don't know that though). I felt bad, but I still want my options.
i'm back on my sour candy kick...like i was with bjl. when i was at the store..i found warheads, which are awesome..but only sour on the outside. so i suck on the outside, then spit it out when it's not sour anymore. waste of calories to finish off the inside of the candy.

i knew it was more important. which is precisely the reason i offered to eat the frosting off your cupcake. then you can have the cake.. because it's non dairy since you eat eggs, and i can eat your frosting. waste not, want not.

do you want the rest of my candy, too?
confession 2. my tongue is officially burned from the sour candy. owie.
I drank orange juice out of the carton at home earlier today. But then I just polished off, so I don't feel as guilty.
There is nothing wrong with this, especially when you just bought a whole new carton of OJ. It's not like there's space in the fridge for both of them, and hey, why waste a glass if there might only be 1/4 of a glass in there?!
That wasn't much of a confession, here's a real one ... neither of us have thought about nursery/kid's room decorating and I don't think we really care? If it were just a plain ol' room until age 2 would that be the end of the world?
I've been so run down all week. I almost stopped at McDonalds on my way home from yoga to get ice cream. I ended up not doing it, but I'm thinking Friday on my way home from yoga I will definitely be stopping. I feel the two cancel each other out.

We were excited to do it, but we're semi-planning to move before they'll really use it, so it would be a bit of a waste. I think we'll still paint the room (light grey) and we'll spruce up our room/the "nursery" (my office), but not transition until it starts to look like we'll need it. I guess my confession is that i can't (apparently) make posts of my own, but can only respond when quoting others...
niq. you'll be just fine. the *only* thing bjl got in her room before she was born was the stars, and some paint. we bought a few things afterward...but we're not big on fancy/showy nurseries....i mean, i love them, but who has the time/money? babies survived before pinterest.
