i probably deserve one, but i'm not pushing the issue. before we were actually pregnant, i used to tell my h that i wanted another band for my ring.. now i don't care.

I told my h I wanted a new ring too, but he asked me if I wanted that or bjl to go to college. Grrrrrrrrr.

I didn't get anything, and honestly I think they're a little dumb. I just wanted a new ring and was hoping it would be an excuse.

this is what i wanted too! it was just an excuse.. now, i dn't give a shit. i want my babies to be healthy.

The concept make sense to me (as i understand it, at least), which is that the partner is making a gesture to recognize and commemorate the mother's efforts and sacrifices. I think a small, sentimental gift is nice, or something to pamper the mother given what her body has been through.
I don't have strong feelings about receiving one myself.
