I'm going to be posting spoilers about the last episode, but don't know how to do that cool blue hidden clicky thing.
What.the.fuck. I really don't care that Kyle is dead, but was so pissed that the plot is centering around Jimmy again with his disappearance and then everyone worrying about his reaction. OMG, please f-ing kill him off already. That character is really ruining the show.

Yup. The moment that happened I was like, they killed the wrong guy! *grrr*
tritto about Jimmy. He is so freaking annoying. I wasn't as moved by his last performance as I wanted to be. And then afterwards he just shut Karen down again even though she confessed her love for him. What are the writer's thinking?
Did the Smash writers decide that not only is Hit List a lot like Rent, but they're going to do the same storyline with Kyle dying but the show goes on in tribute?! Because that's exactly what happened to Rent. I do really like Hit List though... then again, I also really loved Rent!
I can't stand Jimmy. I was really excited for Jeremy Jordan to join the show, but his character is awful!
It totally annoyed me that they pulled a Jonathan Larson on Kyle. How annoying. And how predictable. And also, that Scott and Julia had their big fight about it in his office right in front of a huge Rent poster? Wow, could it be more obvious???
That Rent poster has been handing in Scott's office the whole time. I'm sure part of it was that Jesse L Martin was in Rent.
I'm annoyed that after all this time Karen and Derek didn't hook up. I know Derek has his own set of issues but still better than Jimmy.
I know. He was original cast. I just think the staging of that fight was about as sublet as hitting us over the head with a mallet.
I'm glad they didn't hook up. I don't like Karen, and what is it about the leading lady having to be in a relationship anyway? Derek going from Ivy to Karen just feels incestuous... There are other ladies on Broadway, after all. JMO.

I personally haven't felt any chemistry beyond friendship with the two of them. When they "almost" hooked up I thought it felt weird. I even thought it was weird when Derek initially asked, but maybe that's just my perception.
Damn. I thought the writers were doing a pretty good job of cleaning it up (read: saving it from itself). I really thought they'd get one last-ditch-effort chance. Bummer.
While I hate what's going on with Derek, I also feel like its totally his character. I hate when characters make stupid choices, but it would also be boring if everyone was perfect. Plus, I always thought it was silly that the show injected personal drama when the behind the curtains stuff provided ample opportunity for drama.
While I think it's gotten better, I honestly don't see what would be next...I guess another show? Gatsby? But since Gatsby isn't a musical, I feel like it would work for Smash.
I'm actually still enjoying the show. I'm bummed it is canceled. But it looks like they are wrapping up the Tony storyline this year, which is good, I was worried they were setting that up as a cliffhanger and wouldn't resolve it! I really hope they tie up the loose ends pretty well. It was such an interesting idea and it is shot so well, I'm going to miss it.
Also, I'm sad Tom and Julia are splitting. I like them. The actor who plays Tom is SO talented! I love whenever he sings, dances or plays the piano. He's so good!
I'm glad that they tied up all the loose ends and put Julia and Tom back together. I was surprised that Bombshell won best show, but it was a better ending since the majority of the cast was in that show. I'm glad Ivy won, she's way better than Karen. I loved when Tom and Julia didn't even realize they won best book, that seemed totally in character for them! And it seemed like Ivy and Derek were staying together, which made me happy. Even though he's a jerk, I feel like she was the best match for him. So overall, I guess I liked it. But it wasn't as good as I was hoping. And that last number was super cheesy.
Oh yeah, and why did the diva girl win? That plot point didn't make sense to me.
I really liked the finale. That is how Jeremy Jordan's character should have played out all season. The Hit List performance was really good! but agree the last number was cheesy.
