Can anyone tell me how these feel?
I *think* this is what I have been experiencing. The first time I felt it was during our move, so I stopping with the lifting/carrying and only worked on unpacking. The 2nd and 3rd time I felt it have been during or just after I ran on the treadmill. I really don't want to have to stop running, but if I need to I will. I will ask my doctor about it next week at my a/s scan, but I just wanted to see if any of you ladies have experienced this? A quick Google search said it could be attributed to dehydration, so I am hoping it is a simple fix like that and I can just up my water.
I don't know what they feel like. My uterus has been hard a few times, which i think are BH ctx, but i didn't feel anything when it was happening. And they aren't always a problem; they help strengthen the uterus throughout pregnancy. That said, definitely talk to your ob about frequency/duration, under what conditions, when, etc. is ok, and what to do. Drinking more water is almost always a good idea, and i bet (hope!) you won't need to stop running altogether...
yes, usually attributed to dehydration...and they are "practice contractions".... they just feel like tightening around your abdomen.. not enough to keel you over, but enough to make you wonder if you need to poo or something. always time all contractions. if you get more than i think 5x's an hour, then you'll need to call dr. but a few here and there are normal.

For me, they were when my ute would get super hard, and I could see the outline of M's body (like my ute was shrinkwrapping itself around her). They would last anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute or so, and they wouldn't necessarily be painful, but stop me in my tracks, for sure. They got more intense as my pregnancy progressed.
ETA: They were usually a sign that I needed to slow down, put my feet up, and drink some water.
