Can I whine?
I started a new job last week. I'm having a difficult time adjusting to working full-time, and being away from DS. I always said I never wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, but now I hate being away from him.
Anyway, I had a particularly difficult day today (escaping to the bathroom twice to cry), and then on my way home, I got rear-ended.
My OB recommended I go to an ER because I hit my head on my car's headrest, but the local hospital all but turned me away, because there's no OB/GYN department there.
I am tired (but I'm also sick, and only got three or four hours of sleep last night), and nauseous (but I'm always nauseous this time of night). And I know that tomorrow, I will HURT. But I don't want to call out, because I called out Monday, since I was sick. AND I'm already planning on leaving early on Friday for my NT scan.
I'm sorry. I don't know if you're nursing but if you are, my advice won't work. A motrin 800 and a shot of jaeger.
ETA: Oops. Clearly, I'm an asshole, lol! I knew you were PG, but after I hit post I saw your ticker. Obviously, my advice is useless, so I"ll just offer a hug.
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
Is there another hospital that you can go to? Head injuries are nothing to play around with! Sorry you are having a rough day/time.
If I start to feel worse, or actually vomit, I will go to the hospital where I plan to deliver.
ETA: I just know that I won't be seen for HOURS if I go there.
I feel like by then it is very advanced. I am not trying to scare you (I promise), but the head bump makes me nervous. Are there no Urgent Care Centers? Or, maybe they can bring you right up to labor and delivery with a head injury?

Nope, no Urgent Care Centers.
S.O. is pressuring me to go, too. I think I will go.

I'm so sorry you're having one hell of a day.
In the interests of precaution, I'd really recommend going to get checked out - even if it does take a while. I'd play up the "I'm pregnant and hit my head hard" card so hopefully you'd get triaged faster. But don't mess around with a potential head injury.

I hope you're not reading this...because you're getting checked out.
That's a phenomenally shittastic day and I hope things get better and that your head injury isn't too serious. Always better to be safe than sorry with those.
