Funny question, kind of.... little survey

What kind of underwear do you wear? Like brand and style.

I was thinking how I'm now in my 30s and I think that as a kid, I assumed that once I was "older", I would wear gross granny panties like my mom does. (One of my chores growing up was folding her laundry, as well and mine and my sister's) But of course I don't. My brand of choice over the past years has been the Victoria Secret full back kind with the lace on top. They're so comfortable and don't have bad panty lines. I also like their Pink brand-- the "yoga" fabric full back ones, not sure what they call them. I've stopped doing thongs so much lately, but if needed, I like the comfortable lace type, I have a bunch from Express. I think Express has actually discontinued their underwear line.

So I was remembering how my mom's underwear was always just off white colored and boring (and HUGE! even though she is not a big lady) where as here I am, 30 years old, but my underwear is all types of fun colors and patterns. I guess that's also the difference between 2013, and the 1980s, when she was in her 30s. Maybe adult ladies couldn't buy fun colored underwear.

My mom also had the lovely large white panties. They went up past her belly button. (where do you find panties like that?? ha) I only wear thongs. I'm not picky on the brand and I like all colors and patterns. If I have a short skirt on, I will put boy shorts on over my thongs.

My mom wore bikini's, no granny panties. I rarely ever wear thongs anymore, I have a few from VS. I'm pretty much infatuated with GAP's low-rise hipsters. While I was pregnant I wore the regular hipsters, they are just so comfy.

ETA: Solids and patterns. At first all they had were black, white and nude...I was sad.

I really need to go underwear shopping. Between losing 30 lbs and then getting pregnant and gaining 40 and then holding out to lose the baby weight and now I'm pregnant again I should just bite the bullet. But now I'm left wondering if I should just go ahead and buy maternity underwear now. It's so much more expensive but I guess I'll be needing it.

To answer the question everything I have now is from Macy's sales and not gigantic like my moms but not colorful and fun. I mostly stick to black, white and nude.

I wear bikinis and I tend to but them from Target. Nothing fancy, but I try to get fun colors or patterns. I bought some grannie panties to wear after my c section, but they annoyed me and I was able to shift my bikinis to not rub against incision.

I cut out thongs early this year when I went on a bra and underwear buying rampage. I was constantly digging my thong outta my ass. I mean it's suppose to be up your ass but sometimes it would just be too much, LOL. Anyway, I new wear a few different styles of PINK underwear. They all have lacy or mesh backs. They are super comfortable and I don't get panty lines. I wear all patterns but my complaint is that PINK doesn't carry enough neutral color underwear. Sometimes I would like a nude pair of undies to wear with my white cotton shorts, ya know?

But in other news I just spent a SHIT LOAD of money on new bras only to get pregnant a few weeks later. Now I am busting out of the bras I literally bought 4-5 weeks ago. When I was getting dressed this morning I noticed that my nips were starting to peek out of my bra which is a definite sign I need a bigger bra. But I am going to hold out a bit longer because my boobs will only get bigger from here on out and I would like to minimize the money I spend on bras that I won't be able to wear after this pregnancy.

My mom always wore big underwear too, usually boring colors. She was always very self conscious about her tummy though, as my sister was delivered via vertical C-section incision, and your stomach muscles are never the same after that one.

I wear VS bikini style mostly. I love the ones they have now with the butt ruching or the lace on top. I have a very round butt and those fit the best. I wear thongs occasionally, but only when necessary. I try to buy fun colors and prints to keep things exciting, but also make sure I have a few pairs of nude/black on hand for going under certain things.

My mom always wore very pretty undergarments, silky, lace trimmed bikini kind of stuff, in all different colors with matching bras. I don't think i remember her ever having granny panties. Plus she always slept in little short satiny, lacy nightgowns, never anything frumpy, so I guess that kind of stuff was important to her.

I am a thong wearer. I kind of feel like they are out of style, but i've been wearing them for 20 years, and they are just what are the most comfortable to me. I tend to stick to VS, and while I have a variety of fabrics/styles, the majority are the very smooth fitting cottony PINK ones in fun colors and patterns.

That's so funny! Your mom was very fashionable. My mom wore those full length nightgowns to bed with long sleeves. Pretty sure she still does.

I'm a thong wearer, usually VS but am not opposed to bikini or boy short.

I went and got some cheap ones for after the hospital at target today so I don't feel so bad if they get ruined that are bikini cut.
