I know that tomato plants are poisonous to dogs. (and I thought humans too actually) But i'm seeing conflicting info on the tomatos themselves. The humane society list only says green parts and stems. Other lists say the fruits themselves can also be bad. Is it just unripe fruits?

Tomatoes are a member of the Nightshade family (also includes potatoes). In large doses, they are toxic. It's worse the more unripe the fruit is.
But like garlic, most dogs (pittie in my sig not included) wouldn't eat enough to cause a bad reaction. The occasional slice of ripe tomato isn't going to hurt.

I feed the dingus tomato on the semi-regular. When I chop up tomato, I don't like to eat the end piece with the stem, so I cut the stem part out and feed the rest to Dot. She loves it.
We've never had any side-effects, but Dot has an iron stomach. Only catch is that dogs apparently can't digest tomato skins. So there's always a moment of alarm when the poo comes out with a bright red spot, until I figure out that it's a tomato skin and not blood.
P.S. For some random reason, I am having the dangedest time not putting an e on the end of tomato - tomatoe. WTH? I am not related to Dan Quayle or anything. So random.
Ok, so the day my old dog ransacked my IL's garden and stripped two plants of ripe tomatoes, that was bad. But feeding the scraps to my garbage disposal dog when I'm making a salad is not a big deal.
Good question, I don't have an answer but I can tell you that my Cooper LOVES raspberries. He frickin raids our little raspberry bush! I swear I there aren't any left on the thing for me to pick for us to eat b/c the damn dog eats them all! It makes me laugh. Its funny to watch him eat them too, b/c of the prickers on the bush he'll literally take his front teeth & just nibble them off!!! I should try & take video some time...
