Sorry if I'm stealing someone else's thunder by posting but I'm going to be busy today so no GBCNing for me. At least that's the plan!
I'm just reading a freebie off Amazon - Irish Moon, it's lame. I did start Great Gatsby last night for IRL book club - only on page one and first time reading it. My high school literature/English classes sucked.

I am reading Wuthering Heights. The weekly discussions have really kept me on track. I want to finish it this time. I will not let myself get sidetracked into dropping it for the more interesting Murder on the Eiffel Tower that is on my bedside table.

I'm about 40 pages in to The Leftovers by Tom Perrotta. Sunday is my lazy day, (since I have to work all day tomorrow), so I'm hoping to read almost all of it because it's due back to the library next Saturday.

I just started Ghost in the Wires: My Adventures as the World's Most Wanted Hacker, by Kevin Mitnick - it's ok - not fantastic writing by any stretch but an interesting story.
I finished The Story of Jane: The Legendary Feminist Underground Abortion Service by Laura Kaplan and More Than Just Race: Being Black and Poor in the Inner City by William Julius Wilson this week. Both were excellent and thought provoking reads.
The Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison. I'm working through all the boos my honors kids picked for their independent books for summer reading. (they also have a requir novel that. Need to reread too.) I have about 20 total for that, so I'm mixing those in with some of the series I'm in the middle of. Most of "my books" have a wait list, so I'm reading the summer reading stuff in between.
I'm not sure how much I like it, it's going back soon to the library so I won't be able to finish it before it does. But i'll probably check it out again.
I'm behind on Wuthering Heights -- need to set some time for that one. In the middle of Glow by Jessica Maria Tuccelli, and I'm not sure if I'll go back to it or leave it unfinished. I don't dislike it, but I don't think I'd be upset if ignored it. Also reading Dead Scared by S.J. Bolton, which is a page-turner crime/mystery novel.
Love and War (#2 in the North and South trilogy) by John Jakes. Yes, still! But it's soooo long. I'll finish it this weekend. I loved it but I'll be waiting a few months to start the third. I'm ready to move on.
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I love this book! It's so creepy and suspenseful.

I only have about 70 pages left of Wuthering Heights, so I plan to finish that this weekend. I ended up having the night off from work, so I will probably have to hit up the library to get another classic and something fun, too. I am thinking of Pride and Prejudice since I have somehow made it this far without ever reading anything by Austen.
I'm trying to finish up The Sacred Band book 3 of the Acacia series then I will hopefully start Wuthering Heights and try to get caught up for the discussions on here next week. I've really been wanting to reread that one.
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet by Jamie Ford - I'm about half-way through it and it's OK. I keep getting distracted by other stuff (mostly non-book stuff) and it's taking me some time to get back to it. It's a download from the library so I don't have a lot of time to sit on it. I'm hoping to finish it tonight so I can get started on...
In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson - I'm excited about this book, but I'm kind of nervous. I don't know if I'm in the mood for such a dark subject. I've heard great things about it, but it's also a download and I have about a week left on it from the library. Hoping to start and finish it this next week.
TBR - Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell - This is my book club's June selection and we meet on the 27th, so I need to get crackin' on that as well.
I'm not good at reading books simultaneously. Am I the only one or are there other one-at-a-time book readers in here?
Next book in the challenge is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. I started it last night.
Ooooh, I'm interested to see what you think of this one. I read it last year and it was a struggle to get through for me, even though it was so short.
I'm about half way through and really enjoying it. Then again, I LOVE me a good tale about drug use. I don't know why, but I always have. Like Naked Lunch... INSTANTLY has my attention. So I think I'm not a great person to base interest in Fear & Loathing off of.

I finished My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler today. Not sure what is up next. I am trying to clear off my shelves of the books I have been meaning to read forever.
