I was watching a thing on the Today show about stolen strollers. I only leave it unattended outside in a fenced in yard at the baby play centre. It does scare me, but I try to stick it at the back I know people leave them at the zoo, Disney. thoughts? First it would suck to lose a $$ stroller but it would also suck to be stranded at Disney without your stroller.
In our old neighborhood, people would leave them outside restauarnts and apartments all the time.
We had storage in our building, so I never had a reason to leave it outside the apartment...but I never wanted to leave it outside restaurants or stores. DH thought I was crazy, but that thing was $$ (and hard to get!) Add to that that our nanny's neighbor had one stolen outside their apartment, so it definitely happens.
(And I saw that story, too: how crazy that she happened to see it on Craigslist? It is pretty amazing that she was able to help catch that guy...and crime went down by, what, +70% in their neighborhood after he was arrested? Jeesh.)
Not usually, but we don't usually leave it places (except like the zoo).
We don't really have fancy strollers so considering where we live (HCOL) there are likely much nicer strollers that would have a much better resale value.
People leave their strollers outside a lot here. I largely see it at the zoo (before they go into an indoor exhibit) or in their front yard. We did it once when we walked to an open house, but I don't feel comfortable leaving my stroller unattended. At Disney I would just rent one of their strollers.

I don't, but I never had a super expensive stroller either. I always brought it inside or left it in my trunk at home. I've left it when taking DD on a ride at the fair and stuff before. I would take my diaper bag off.

We have never been anywhere where we needed to leave it unattended. Honestly I have not really thought about it, so not sure what we will do in the future if the situation comes up.
We try not to leave our stroller unattended at all. So far, we have been successful in two different cities. We do have a more expensive stroller and if I know the place we are going is too small to accommodate our stroller, we leave it in the car. I am lucky that DS still loves the Ergo which is my alternative to the stroller.

We leave it at Disney all the time. I was nervous at first, but we've been a bunch now, so I have no worries about it. Disney won't let you use a bike lock or anything because they have to move the strollers around.
I've never had a need to leave it anywhere else, but I probably wouldn't feel comfortable. It would be so easy to steal, and such a pain to replace.
We leave it at random places at playgrounds if we walk. I leave it at the zoo for the indoor exhibits and a few other things. We left it at Disney. As PP mentioned, most places, especially Disney doesn't let you lock them b/c they may need to to move them as crowds/traffic patterns change. We've never had an issue, we have a nicer, but super common stroller (city mini double). In Disney there were hundred of strollers just like mine, so I figured, what are the chances?
As a side note, I'd never rent a stroller in Disney unless my kids were age 4/5+. They don't recline, they are hard plastic, they just don't seem comfy, plus you don't have it out to the transportation and the resorts.

there are rental companies (at least in Orlando) where you can rent real strollers.
We did bring a stroller to Disney but it was our umbrella stroller, not our Baby jogger.
We rarely leave strollers unattended. DD hates it anyway and prefers to walk.
