Finally something to PIP!!

Lame as a pillow cover is, I finally did some sewing. Found the perfect size couch pillows at Ikea, but hated all the covers. Officially, it was the most boring thing I've ever sewn, but dolls and kids clothes are more my style.

I'm thrilled with how it turned out though!



My next project is figuring out how to do a cover stitch on my serger so I can fix the maxi dress I thought would be short enough with my bump, but still touches the tops of my feet.

I think this fabric is gorgeous It may have been 'boring' but its much better than I could have done! (I don't sew lol)

Thanks. I shouldn't dog it so much. I do not have the patience to be a quilter and my machine can't sew fast enough in a straight line for me. :-)

This is why I'm thinking about picking up an industrial. I miss being able to plow thru jeans top stitching.

Walmart! Ikea is 250 miles away and the marketplace was under renos the last time I was there. :-(

Also, cover stitch is super easy. I was scared to try, as I always am with new sewing techniques, but it's a breeze!

Dorkfish- Yes! I saw it in Washington and then bought it in Nevada. $6.97 a yard. Let me know if you can't find it, they had three bolts locally. And now that I live within a mile of Walmart instead of 45 miles away, I can run over there no problem. :-)
