I bought this dress for an afternoon wedding I am going to on Saturday. If it is horrible, I need to return it and buy another. I really liked it in the store, but now I am wondering 1) is this too short? 2) am I in denial? is there some stuffed sausage syndrome going on here (does it look like I'm trying to squeeze into something that makes you want to give me hair pats and say "Oh, honey...no")
If it is bad...HALP. I"m going to bed in about 20 mins because I am getting up at 4:30, but I will still read. Oh, and be honest but not like...brutally honest. Unless you want to. That'd be cool, too.
it's cute. if you can make it fancy enough for the wedding (you didn't mention the relative level of fanciness--like maybe some heels and dressy jewelry is required?), go for it.
it's only too short if you're going to an amish wedding.
kaybee85, it would be formal enough for almost all of the weddings I've been too, but I think weddings trend towards more casual dress here. You just have to know the crowd.
I think I'm going to talk to a few people going to the wedding to get a read on what they think. I really like the dress, and I can break dance in it (practiced in the dressing room) so it is wedding ready in that sense...lol

I think its really cute... that being said, I'm not at all fashion forward so you might want to listen to anyone but me! Also congrats on 80 pounds... wow!
OMG, you have a great figure and I can't imagine you looking like a stuffed sausage in anything. The dress looks great. I agree that it's a bit casual, though, but if you don't have time to shop, I think you could make it work by dressing it up. Definitely wear heels, maybe a gold statement necklace, a gold clutch, and some type of wrap or pashmina.
