I'm about 85% sure I have stress fracture in my right foot. I've had two others in the past and have a pretty good idea of what they feel like and how they present themselves.
So, should I go to my doctor and get a referral for the podiatrist or should I just wear the walking cast I have from the last fracture for a few weeks and see if it gets better?
The pain isn't in the exact same spot, it's a new one. I'm a terrible patient also (clearly) and I don't want to spend the $$$ or take the time off work if I don't have to.

Depending on where it is, they may need to be more aggressive with treatment (crutches for 2 weeks, etc) to prevent surgery. I'd go in for this. Better to take the one afternoon off than the 6 weeks to recover post-op
