Spoilers . . . . . . . . . . . . .
This episode was pretty good. Not as good as the Hide episode though.
Poor Clara, she has a tense relationship with the TARDIS. I liked how they showed more of the TARDIS, the library and finally the pool. They mentioned it a lot in the past and I thought it was cool they showed it. We got too see the Doctor explaining how he has known Clara in different times in the past to her, I'm glad they did that. I feel that they shouldn't hide it from her forever.
I still loved that they had River Song falling from a building and landing in the pool in a previous season.
I'm looking forward to next week's episode. I LOVE Vastra and Jenny and always am excited when show up in an episode. (heart)

I miss the Ponds. Still. Lol.
I really liked this week's episode. I love anything TARDIS-centric, really, and seeing all the great rooms of the TARDIS was great. It is also nice that Clara likes the Doctor and wants to hang out and stuff, but you can tell she's sort of terrified a lot of the time. I think that's very... authentic.
I feel like I can't relate to Clara at all because I know nothing about her. I get that that's the point, she's a mystery, but its making the second half of this season kind of suck.
All of the main companions except Martha, who I never really loved, had their first episode be all about them. I mean, the very first episode of the revamp was titled Rose. You immediately fell in love with their stories. Clara hasn't had that and I think it's hurting the show. Their viewers in the UK have dropped the lowest ever since the first revamp episode. I hope they pick it up soon.
This is exactly how we feel. She's the new Martha.

Exactly.
It says a lot when the fucking TARDIS doesn't like you. Other than Hide, I really am not a fan of this season. Journey was better than most, but still not great. We've been watching season 1 again and it really hits home how far off base they've gotten recently. I'm also going to disagree with a previous poster about Vastra/Jenny and Strax. I've never liked how they were just "BAM important" in Demon's Run. Unless I missed an episode they never really explained where Jenny came from, nor why Vastra and Strax were important to him. Vastra wasn't in the Hungry Earth, they just made the leap that she and the Doctor have this relationship ( evidenced by how much history she referenced when she, Dorium and the Doctor were talking in that control room). Same with Strax. The last I remember was 10 hitting a Sontoran in the sweet spot when he was saying good bye to Mickey and Martha.
Back to "Journey" though.
Why did that key say SMITHS?
Why was the Time War book written in English? Wouldn't it be in Gallefryian? And if it was how could Clara read it, since the TARDIS doesn't translate Gallefryian?
The Zombies were all the recent future of everyone onboard, yes?
Did anyone take the time to listen to what the "encyclopedia" was saying? Was it just old lines from the show?
One theory I've read is that River wrote the Time War book, which would explain why it's not in Gallifreyan. My big question is why the hell the Doctor's super secret and important name was just there in a book the whole time for anyone to see.
The Doctor Who Tumblr posted a list of clips used in the encyclopedia and console scenes. The encyclopedia was mainly Timothy Dalton from "The End of Time" and the console had everyone from Susan to Nine to Amy.
I loved seeing more of the TARDIS but thought the zombie plot was irritating. Just show us the rooms, okay? Take a week off from monsters!
As far as Clara goes, I'm having a hard time getting attached too. Maybe part of the problem is that we've already seen her die twice and I'm just waiting for this one to kick the bucket as well. Regardless, the mystery is irritating and I want it solved, like, now. Thank goodness there are only two episodes to go until the finale.

Is there a particular tumblr account you mean or just the hash tag? I feel like I"m too old to "get" tumblr!

I'm guessing that River Song wrote the Time War book or the Tardis translated it like it does with speaking different languages. I don't like that Clara keeps dying. I'm not sure how I feel about her yet, but they better bring it up soon. Do you think she really forgot his name or do you think she is pretending?

A search for "Doctor Who Official" on Tumblr should bring up the account. It's run by BBC America staff, if that helps.
I don't think she's forgotten his name, if it really was his name she saw. The space junk guy didn't forget the "shred of decency" line, which makes me think that anything truly important that happened stayed with them in some form. I also suspect the Doctor remembers his realization that Clara has no idea who/what she really is.
