Awesome news! I´m so glad she is crate trained for you. It makes leaving her and training her in general so much easier. And the dogs need a safe space away from people sometimes too.

Aw, she sounds like the best dog!
Also, ditto dizzydee with running, their joints aren't fully developed at that age so you should wait until she's at least a year old to do distance running.

Aw, she's so cute. I love sharing the couch with my dog. I swear she thinks it is her second bed, and wonders why we are in her bed. Just wait until she's bigger and acts like you are in her way, lol.

I took my doggy there and it's really a fun class! I think it's a good bonding experience too. 5 years later and she still knows all the commands she learned there Sit, shake, roll over, stay, and others
Awww she sounds like a sweet dog. Are you taking her to Petsmart puppy classes?
Yes. We figure it's a good start for the basics.
We have a yellow lab mix (we rescued so don't really know what she is) and we also did Petsmart puppy classes. Best.Choice.Ever. When I did it, we learned sit, stay, down, settle, come, and maybe something else. Maya (our dog) loved it and learned all the commands. It was great!
ETA: They teach voice and hand commands, and Maya learned both. She's blind now though, so we use voice commands only.
She has tapeworm, but no other parasites and, it seems, no other major health issues.
She has not been spayed, so that gets done next week, along with microchipping and nail trimming.
The vet wanted to steal her, because she crawled up into the vet's lap for a cuddle.
I think I repeated the phrase, "This is our first dog, so.." about six times to preface asking really fucking stupid questions.
She still likes to chase the cat a bit, but they're learning to coexist. We have a baby gate up between the upstairs and downstairs to create a safezone for the cat, so they're pretty happy.
Someone clearly crate-trained this dog, because she likes the crate and has no problems during the day at all.
Obedience classes start on May 12.
We've had one accident indoors before we learned her cues; now no accidents at all. She's good about giving warning.
H is training her to run with him, and yesterday they went two miles. And then Max came home and comandeered the couch for like four hours in a dead faint.
We lub her.
Aw, this makes me so happy. Every picture I saw of her made me want to bury my face in her neck and give her big cuddles. I'm a sucker for a cuddly dog.
