I quit smoking when I got pregnant with DD six years ago. I took it back up when she was two. I quit again when I got pregnant with DS and was hoping I could really stick with it this time. The problem is H didn't quit this time and I am under a lot more stress. I crave one desperately every evening. Tell me it gets easier.
It gets easier! You do not need a cigarette. Go kiss those babies and remember that by quitting, you're giving yourself more years with them. Stay strong! You can do this!
Any chance your H would be willing to quit now, so you can support each other? I've never had to quit smoking, but I can see how it would be much, much harder if you're living with someone who still does.

This is a lie! It never gets easier! But you just have to not smoke.

I miss smoking a lot too.
I quit 6 years ago. It has gotten easier. I rarely miss smoking... until I have that "fuck it" drink. Then I want to light up.

How long did you smoke for?
Almost everyone I know who has smoked for an extended period of time say they miss it a lot and almost every day. My FIL smoked for 35 years, and still wants a cigarette every single day. He said that if he found out he had a terminal illness, the first thing he would do is light up.

Sure it does
I used to smoke over a pack a day and it totally gets much easier
Second, I smoked for a month as a 16-year-old kiddo when I was away from home for the summer. I sometimes still feel a little twinge for a cigarette and that was a decade and a half ago. I cannot imagine how strong the urge must be for someone who recently quit. I guess that's an attempt at empathy. I don't think anyone could blame you for having the craving.

My DH smoked for year sand was in the Navy,so you can imagine how often he lit up. He still will constantly chew gum, mints, toothpicks, or straws bc for him it was more of a busy habit. Maybe you can find something to distract you?
