This is super cheese, but the first time I heard Pachelbel's Cannon in D. I was in high school (I think a freshman) and my piano teacher played it for me. It literally took my breath away and I knew that was the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to when I got married (well, the first time anyway - not this time).
Of course at the time I thought it was some obscure piece of classical music and figured myself all yu-neek and special because I had "found" this hidden gem. Whoops.

I was going to say the same thing. I love this I heard it when I was younger and had the same experience. I used it in my wedding when I walked down the aisle too. To me its flawless in its simplicity

Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony, movement 2. The horn solo at the beginning and the build-up at the end just wrenches my heart. It gets more beautiful every time.
But there has only been one time when I teared up listening to music, and that was when I saw Muse in concert for the first time and heard "Butterflies and Hurricanes."
xo, Three-time Southern California Junior Bach Festival Winner, LOL
Can't think of the name, it's one of the arias from La Boheme by Puccini. Gives me goose bumps. I think most people would recognize it, it was used in a champagne commercial a few years ago. The commercial seems to run every year round New Years.
