Has anyone been to a rheumatologist?

I have my first appointment tomorrow for an appointment about my fibromyalgia.  The paperwork said to expect a 2.5-3 hour appointment.  I first meet with a nurse practitioner and then the doctor.  What should I expect? I assume they will run some sort of tests on me, but not sure what.

It's been awhile, but yes I have. They'll probably run blood work, get your medical history (yours and family) and assess your pain level and such. The nurse practitioner will probably do that, and then the doctor will come in to go over things more in-depth.

I had a tag team appt like that, when they suspected I had MS. I like that model a lot.

I was also told to eat a healthy breakfast before hand. I assume bloodwork will be done in the office.
