? about teen mom (from last season)

i didn't watch teen mom last year but there is a marathon on this morning. butch moved in w/ catelynn and tyler (i'm guessing he went to jail for dv against catelynn's mom?)
he didn't come home one night, catelynn's mom comes over to the house and they are all talking about it. the kid that is w/ her, is that her kid w/ butch? i don't know who i thought this kid was in earlier seasons...i think i assumed it was a grandchild. the way the conversation was going made me think it was april & butch's kid. but i don't have any backstory from this season and i never paid attention to the kid in other seasons i watched.
please tell me that tyler and catelynn don't share a half sibling...

I believe the kid (Nick?) is April's child with a different man. He is Catelynn's half brother and Tyler's stepbrother. I think he used to live with his father.

Andplusalso, I don't think there was any domestic violence, I think there was a no contact order because they both have/had drug issues and were not allowed to be together due to that. He violated that and went back to jail.
