b/c i avoid showers like the plague i haven't been to many. my mom and i are throwing one for my cousin and i'm in charge of food. i think it will be pretty casual and mostly friends of my aunt. we don't have any other family and my cousin is a loner, so maybe one or two of her own friends.
so, anyway, this is the food i have thought about so far: mini chicken salad croissants pimento cheese finger sandwiches fruit skewers (kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, banana) caprese skewers (cherry tomato, mozzarella ball, basil) ham puffs (this is on my pinterest, i need to make it to see if they are good) salted nut squares OR lemon bars carrot, celery, pepper sticks w/ a veggie dip
my mom is getting a cake. sooo, is this a decent variety of food? the shower is from 2-4, so not during a mealtime. i think there will be 15-20 people attending.
suggestions/critiques welcome! i'm awful at this kind of stuff.

I think it sounds great, too. If you are choosing only one or the other I would go with lemon bars over nut ones. They seem more popular, plus it is safer in regards to potential allergies of guests.
What you have sounds great. I would add a side salad - pasta salad or macaroni salad. And I like the idea of two desserts. Cake plus one other dessert is a little odd, but two other desserts is a buffet! I might do something other than salted nut squares, though - they sound a little heavy for summer. Maybe mini cheesecakes with fruit? And if you run out of time, you can easily scrap both desserts and just have cake.
