Etsy and baby gap are going to be the death of my bank account.
You do know that a cute kid looks cute in stuff from Target too, right? I hate spending a lot on clothes for kids. HATE. Or go to a consignment shop. Or garage/rummage sales. My kids have ADORABLE clothes, but I never pay retail. Ever.
I need one of those Silhouette cutting machines. That and my glue gun could fund my retirement. It's cute, obviously, but I'm having a major case of the "I could do that!"s.

Target is not always as cute as Baby Gap. They have some good stuff but not that much. Same with Carter's. Cheap, but 85% of it is ugly.
I would not pay full price at Baby Gap either. Nor would I pay $40 for a onesie.

Rex, I agree with you! BUT I do want to point out that TOTS said a baby is also cute in Target clothes. Not that Target's clothes are just as cute.
eta: Also feel the need to point out that you can get Baby Gap pretty cheap if you use a gap card (for better deals and rewards), wait until it's already reduced, and then hit a discount on top of that.
I should probably get a gap card. I got a shirt there today on sale for $8 (marked down then marked down on top of that!) but extra $ off is worth it since this definitely won't be my last time there.

Wait now. I said a CUTE baby is still cute in Target clothes. You can dress an ugly baby in whatever you want. It will still look like a chuckie doll.
That's how I am. I have a few tried and true stores and I know that no matter what I will find stuff there. I rarely go anywhere else.
And I am just really picky about baby stuff. I don't care what other people put on their babies. They look cute. And when I buy things for my nieces I get what is popular and what I know is like what they normally wear. But I get to be picky with my own baby
I buy 90% of DS' clothes on Ebay. I get very gently used stuff from Baby Gap, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, Ralph Lauren, etc, for Target prices. I've done a few huge church consignment sales, but it's easier to find stuff on my laptop while watching tv than dealing with the madhouse at those sales.
ETA: I can get six or seven nice outfits on ebay for $40, so that much for a single onesie is insane to me. The only thing I've spent that much money on for DS was an adorable little suit that he wore to his adoption finalization.
