I've bitten my nails for years so I never wore nail polish. I think I've finally broken the habit, and I want to treat myself to a professional manicure before I go to a shower in a couple weeks.
Any suggestions on colors? I'm wearing a black and white dress with a red belt, and either a black or red cardigan. And I'm very fair-skinned.
I think I want a neutral color like gray, or maybe a dark blue or purple.
The salon by me uses China Glaze, Opi and Essie mainly.
China Glaze Recycle is probably the most what you're looking for, just doing a quick search.
I love Essie Chinchilly but it has a taupe and purple undertone depending on the light.
I would also consider red the color of your belt/cardigan.
I'm wearing this one right now, and I love it. Definitely on the purplish side, but that's why I bought it. It still looks pretty neutral/professional.
I think I actually have the Chinchilly on my Pinterest list. I was poking around my local CVS yesterday and nothing caught my eye. Their Essie selection was really small.
Think I should just see what colors the nail salon has in stock, or is it better to buy a bottle and bring it with me (for home touchups, I guess?).
