So my two year old broke his leg. We're having my daughter's birthday party on the 26th at a park. By then he'll be able to walk in his cast, but not slide or play in the sandbox or anything. They said he can basically just enjoy the sunshine and walk around. We rented a pavilion and there is lots of grass and trees around and it is a bit of a walk to get to the play equipment. I want to have games around the pavilion that he and the other kids can play where he won't feel left out. I still do plan on having fishing poles for them to fish.
I thought about having a scavenger hunt and hide dollar store toys around. I can take pictures and give them to them to tell them what they're looking for. Do you have any other ideas? He can't get his cast wet.
I saw a homemade water gun game on pinterest (like the carnival version), where you put ping pong balls on top of empty soda bottles and have the kids shoot them off. Could you do something like this, but with Nerf guns instead?
He's so cute! Bean bag tic-tac-toe, bubbles, doing rubbings of different textures outside, ring toss, get him a disposable camera to let him take pics of anything he wants
